Called to order at 8:03 PM
Pastor led devotions.
- Outgoing president addressed the council before he goes off as council president. He reviewed the Code of Conduct and responsibilities of being on council.
Offering counters and devotion sign-ups were passed around.
Descriptions were passed around of council positions.
- Election of Officers (Executive Board)
- President- Mindy nominated MaryBeth Ostrom. Janet seconded. Motion Carried.
- Vice President- Gretchen Olso Nominated. Mindy seconded. Motion Carried.
- Secretary- Janet nominates Matt. Mindy seconded. Motion Carried.
- Treasurer- Janet nominates Sandy. Matt 2nded. Motion carried.

- 3. Approval of Committee Reports
Descriptions of committees were given. Reports were read.
Organ was taken apart, tuned, and a pipe was repaired. The cost was $500. In the tuner’s opinion, the organ is bad in design and layout. The repairs needed to rebuild would be $50,000-$70,000.
One change to January Minutes was Janet Ewalt was present. Scott Approved and Janet seconded the motion. Motion Approved.
Council reviewed Congregational Annual Meetings minutes.
Financial Report
Beginning checkbook balance was $39,434.15.
Ending checkbook balance was $29,286.19
Three or four families gave substantial gifts for our budget last year to help balance it.
Sandy motioned to approve the financial report by, seconded by Scott. Motion carried.

Sandy brought up having a possible council retreat.
2025 Lent Services and meals. Starting March 12th through April 9th. Pastor is suggesting that committees sign up for making soup for lenten meals. Council members should reach out to their committees. Soup for maybe around 40-50 people. A sign-up via email will be sent. All Lent services will be at 6:30 pm.
We will be hosting the Root River Conference Assembly on Sunday, February 16th at 2 pm.
Sandy motions to approve the payment of the amended bid for the Stained Glass windows out of the legacy fund for $30,300. Seconded by Scott. Motion carried.
The cost for a new mic with label is $954.54.. Another quote was for $1031.91.
Sandy Motions to approve the payment for the $954.54 mic to come out of the undesignated memorial fund. Seconded by Gretchen.
Pastor Report
- Pastor wants to thank everyone for all the prayers for his family. Pastor thanks everyone for letting him sit when giving the services. He is slowly gaining strength each day. Pastor thanked the Synod for finding the supply pastor.
- Pastor will not do visitations until March as he regains his strength.
- We still need members to go to the election of the bishop in Mankato. It will be overnight.
- Pastor will be doing Lenten Services at Union Prairie after our Lenten Services.
- Next Council meetings will be Sunday, the 16th of March at 11:00 AM.
- On April 16, the council meeting will be at 6:30 pm.
Move to add Samantha Grabau, financial secretary and Sandra Strozyk, church council treasurer to a $40,000 line of credit at First Southeast Bank and both the ability to access the line of credit as needed.
Gretchen motioned to approve. Seconded by Scott. Motion carried.
Move to add Sandra Strozyk and Samantha Grabau to the general fund, memorial fund, youth fund, pastoral discretionary fund as signers and remove Vicky Tribon.
Sandy motioned to approve. Seconded by Scott. Motion carried.
